Days after demanding a CBI probe into the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) impersonation scam, DMK chief MK Stalin on Saturday said that the corrupt and tax evaders are making illegal profits from NEET, while medical aspirants and parents are suffering.

In a tweet, MK Stalin said, “The corrupt and tax evaders are making illegal profits from NEET while medical aspirants and their parents continue to suffer under this broken system. The I.T. search shows that only the rich can afford NEET preparation and proves our claim that NEET discriminates against the poor.”

Earlier MK Stalin had stated that the scam allegedly involved a few officials from Tamil Nadu and other states as well.

The NEET scam hogged headlines after the Dean of Government Theni Medical College, A K Rajendran, received two emails in September this year saying that an MBBS student got admitted to the college through impersonation.

Following that, an inquiry was held by the college authorities and a police complaint was registered.
